Eveything comes to an end

In the grand journey of life, it's a truth we can't escape: everything comes to an end. From the closing of a favorite book to bidding farewell to cherished friends, endings are inevitable. But they're not just the final curtain call; they're also doorways to new opportunities.

In our life's voyage, we encounter numerous endings – some anticipated, others catching us off guard. Whether it's the end of a relationship or a career shift, endings can be tough. They bring uncertainty but also the promise of fresh beginnings.

Even nature follows this pattern. Each sunset reminds us that light is fleeting, yet it promises a new dawn. Seasons change, signaling the end of one phase and the start of another.

Despite knowing this, we often resist endings. We hold onto what's familiar, fearing what lies beyond. But in letting go, we find freedom to grow.

Endings are not just about saying goodbye; they're about welcoming new chapters. They invite reflection, offering lessons to carry forward. They shape us into stronger, wiser individuals.

So let's embrace endings as opportunities for growth. Let's honor the lessons they bring and look forward to new adventures. In life's tapestry, every ending is a thread weaving into our unique story.

Like life itself as we currently know it, everything comes to an end... not necessarily most of the time as we want, but surely as part of a plan on which we are a piece of it.

Life learnings over seasons, are surely a rewarding part of necessary change. Something that lead us into the proclaimed self awareness of our transcendence, reach the end of things its also part of the jorney...

Thank you Life!

"Community" Level: Mexican

The community sense, that feeling of ownership with a person or people with common interests which make us realize about how special we are. I remember having this feeling for many things in the past for me, my friends from the block in which i lived, my friends which became my family, my cousins, my father and  brothers, my team mates from sports, my geek (and not geek) friends from school/college, my work colleagues, stranger and of course my kids and wife... and now the international community of a group of strangers, at least most of 'em were strangers; all of us sharing an interest in common, the love for our country.

This is a rare but familiar feeling, because i have memory of being in the other side being cheered by the crowd which most of the times shares the same as you, affinity for the sport/colors or simply to support a specific person or people. I almost forgot how cool its to cheer you country, gives you a sense of ownership something you share with others than you did or did not know.

My kid ask me about the flag; "What our flag means, dad?" -she asked, i replied: "the green represents the Life/Live/hope on of our country, the white means peace/unity we have in our country and the red represents the blood of all of those who died for us to give us a country." without realizing i almost have a automatic chip for answering that, which surprised me. Later she said also she meant to know why the shield on the center of the white (an eagle grabbing from its peak a snake on top of a cactus on top of olive and laurel leafs) and told her the story about the Mexica people and their nomad history and how they consider it a sing of the gods to establish on that land, but really what our flag means to us... what it means for a group of ex-pats, a group of estranged persons which wants to feel they're at Home.

We share a lot of the sense of community by default, most of the times we don't realize what it took from this story to get us here. Some other times we get so in deep with our carried on life that also we oversight that... today i didn't today i remembered i always will be a Mexican and cant deny it first because i can't, second because i won't want.

What Someone does when doesn't Loves (Que hace uno cuando no ama)

A while ago, when was travelling around south america I had the please of visit Santiago de Chile, a lovely crity on the West of Chile, I found a publication from the region a publication on a local Newspaper called El Mercurio, in case you don't remember Mercurio was the Greek messenger of the goods, the supplier of news god of trade, thieves and travel. How to expect a kid knows who's this mythology character? at that given time because of that an article on the paper came to my attention.

The battles in the Dessert
The so called article talked about the things we do when we don't do HAVE anything to do, it was called: "Que hace uno cuando no Ama" (What Someone does when doesn't Loves) a strong title for someone who didn't have over thought on his head because I was alone in a city where I didn't know anything at all... anyhow, I didnt gave any importance to the paper but i kept a copy.

All by myself (with no one around me) with only a couple bills and a lot of free time ahead I remember walking to most of the places in the city visited, museums, city markets, eat on the street, "cafes con piernas" also visit national iconic spots like la casa de Moneda or the Fortress in the Mount over the Gobernador O'higgings Street... I remember trying to kept my full attention what i was doing, but also for some reason the publication keep ringing on my head. At the end, I brought a copy of the paper but between all the house movings (10 in total) and different cities during these changes just simply got lost between all the things i whish i still have until now with me.

It's sad because I recall pieces of the paper sometimes investing time thinking about what was that paper talking about... I remember the publication talked about that we do travel and explore new places because we keep searching for something that help us define ourselves or the situation on which we are living into, which in occasions seems to have sense.

I remember also talked about how one shops, buys, acquire new things because looks like we want to fulfill a hole in our life with material things, i remember too that said we go to classes, read things, go to courses to learn new things which feeds our mind with the only goal of distract our attention on the time we were doing anything better with... investing if you want to call it that way, talked about how we begin to "believe" in things or at least on begging to make ourselves questions with deep meaning we didn't believe before like religion and things which helps to set the the spirit free.

Santiago de Chile with a View of the Andes
The paper talked in a way were you realize that there's a lot of things we do when someone things its not loving anyone or its loved by someone but instead used its time to do a sum of things that "divert" us from love, of from the acts of showing we do love someone basically To love someone its a very consuming task, its about how we deal with those resources or time when someone's love does, basically resuming,

Cuando uno no ama... compra
Cuando uno no ama... viaja
Cuando uno no ama... estudia
Cuando uno no ama... trabaja
Cuando uno no ama... recuerda
Pero sobre todo, cuando uno no ama... uno busca que amar.

The Elephant city

I Never expected to reach into a city with the amount of live history as when i step the Istanbul, a city which in fact... Never forgets. The city of the 6 "Gold" towers, domes made of silver, statues of bronze for every god to be praised in the ancient world, streets paved on bricks as old as the actual mankind, palaces made of crystal, and antics on the building calling for pray each time a person its required to pray.

Hagia Sophia Mosque View from the Galatta Tower
The fact which makes me resemble what makes a city the "capital of the world", qualifying name given by Napoleon Bonaparte, the ultimate mesh of cultural diversity, the point of junction were the Occident collides with the Orient, a city trapped between 2 continents (in fact the only city in the world spread among two continents) and nationalities of people from all over the world.

This city does not only have amazing old streets, which in moments of the history were walked by Semi-gods, sultans, and emperors but holds some of the cultural remarkable items which our contemporary history like a cloak used by Mohammed (The prophet himself), Abraham, Noah, John the Baptist, among others. Armors used by emperors and warriors, some of the items showed to public makes the sixtine chapel look like a art gallery run by kindergarten kids, the collections of art are amazing without telling anything about the recints in where the art is (The Harem, The Topkaki Palace, The Palace of Dolmabahce, Hagia Sophia Mosque, etc.)

In some times you can perceive the smell of the Saleph or the cooked chestnut toasted into little carts selling rounded by people or establishments selling pomegranate juice next by one of the most impresive building i've ever seen in my whole life, Hagia Sophia Mosque. Enjoy a Shisha flavored as a "bob marley" or a "Tony Montana", have a Eggplant Kebab with a slice of shawarma meat or in the evening a Efes for the thirst of the day after walking from the Train using the Jetones to ride on it in order to cross the city.
Sight from the Gold (6) Mosque from the Bosphorus

In general, 5 days weren't enough to visit a city as big as Istanbul, 5 days of walking of sights, of photos, of reading, of understanding the amount of differences which makes us special (Cultural speaking) and 5 days of also trying to understand whats the purpose of the new endeavors we will be taking for the next couple of years.

The Elephant city made me remind something from me which (i didn't forget, i just didnt use it for a long time) was one of the things which forged part of my character, I Like to discover and re-discover new things that makes me feel fresh and new, that's a feeling i love and i forgot i loved. :D
